If we are all being honest with each other, 2015 kind of sucked a lot. It didn’t snow on Christmas, Trump is polling well, and I never found the perfect moto jacket. In order to ring in the new year with good vibes, I wasted no time spending my Christmas cash. I got some great winter basics from JCrew’s clearence rack, and traded some of last winter’s barely worn sweaters at Buffalo Exchange for new jeans and a coat.
Today, I am showing off my new, preppy threads. I am forever a sucker for stripes, and I can always use another button up, so this blue and white JCrew shirt was a no-brainer. This Theory camel coat is super soft and worth every penny. I love the contrast between the wide lapel and cinched waist, and I can’t wait to wear it with my big scarves and chunky knits. I splurged on three new pairs of jeans, but it’s worth it because now I definitely won’t need to buy denim at all in 2016. Today, I am wearing my new, dark wash jeggings from AG. I look forward to wearing my new boyfriend jeans and mid rise, straight leg jeans later this month. This outfit is comfortable enough to sit in a Starbucks while I write this post, and polished enough to wear again to the office after New Year’s Day.
