This week’s Trend Report hits close to home, or, close to campus. Going to FIT has its obvious perks, including spotting really cute pieces before they “go global.” This semester, I noticed students from all aesthetics sporting a similar shoe style: the cutout heel. After a quick “OMG I love your shoes where did you get them?” and a Pinterest search, I found these ankle boots are from Jeffery Campbell, which is perfect for the college girl’s budget. These boots are a fun deviation from Alexander Wang’s metal insert boots, and add an element of surprise to a year-round basic. I really like these black sock boots, and I am seriously considering getting them with my next paycheck.
