Dressing for Summer Without Dresses Part 1/5

Does the subtle breeze your thighs get in short A-line skirts send shivers down your spine? Do you just not get Diane von Furstenberg’s design philosophy? If you answered yes to these three questions, have no fear because you are not alone!

When the hemlines start to rise along with the temperatures, pants-friendly ladies like myself start to worry about how to stay true to personal style without boiling in our favorite jeans. And once we hit 21, that pair of denim cutoffs we got from Urban Outfitters in July of 2012 just isn’t appropriate anymore. Outfit 1: The Weekender

Tank Top + Boyfriend Jeans

For the weekends that you are running errands and might run into someone you know—but you don’t have that casual cotton shift dress that everyone else seems to have—I suggest a pair of light-wash boyfriend jeans and a form fitting pastel tank top. The wide leg and holes in your jeans are less sweaty than your winter dark wash skinnys, and a cute tank top is a good alternative to a basic white t-shirt.
