In order to add more detail and flare to a simple shape, brands are using thicker yarns and wider looms to add dimension to their otherwise flat sweaters. Also, a thick knit scarf is a nice contrast to your favorite boiled wool coat or even a tshirt a-la Lenny Kravitz. These chunky scarves are an alternative to the traditional flannel blanket scarf, without sacrificing their dramatic size. The large weaved sweaters and scarves look great with a simple pair of leggings or skinny jeans, and are ideal for keeping cozy in the library while you finish your term paper by midnight.
